Six days including three nights in Prague: the great Old Town Square market, the castle, Charles Bridge and the Vltava, with stopover nights.
At Christmas, the “city of a hundred spires” dresses in lights: on Old Town Square, the great tree stands before the Church of Our Lady before Týn and the astronomical clock, among the wooden chalets. To spare fatigue, the trip includes a stopover night in Germany on the way out and on the way back, then three nights in the same hotel in Prague. The coach drops the group at the top of the castle hill, so the visit of St Vitus Cathedral continues downhill, through Malá Strana to Charles Bridge. A warm cruise on the Vltava and a Christmas concert in a Baroque church can round off the stay. The cobbled streets call for good shoes, but the pace stays gentle, with a day without the coach for the driver’s rest.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Franconia
- Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice, at a time suited to your region.
- Comfortable coach journey: our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
- Free lunch on the way.
- Arrival in the late afternoon in the Nuremberg area and check-in at the hotel for a stopover night.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Arrival in Prague
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Bohemia (about 3 hours 30 minutes).
- Arrival in Prague at lunchtime and check-in at the hotel for 3 nights.
- Free late afternoon at the Christmas market on Old Town Square, around the great illuminated tree.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Prague Castle and Malá Strana
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral and Golden Lane (on request).
- Walk downhill through Malá Strana, then across Charles Bridge.
- Seated lunch in a Czech brasserie (on request).
- Free afternoon to rest or stroll through the Christmas markets.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Vltava, Wenceslas Square and Christmas concert
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- A day on foot and by local transport, without the coach (driver’s rest day).
- Cruise on the Vltava with views of the castle and the bridges (on request).
- Free time at the Christmas market on Wenceslas Square.
- Christmas music concert in a church in the centre (on request).
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: From Prague to Germany
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Last free morning in Prague for Christmas shopping.
- Departure in the late morning and drive to the Nuremberg area.
- Comfortable coach journey: our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
- Check-in at the hotel for a stopover night.

Day 6: Return to Belgium

- Walking level: moderate; cobbled Old Town and Malá Strana, castle hill visited downhill, some stairs. Wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility: please let us know when booking.
- Christmas markets: from late November to late December, to be checked each year; bring warm clothing; currency: Czech koruna (CZK), bank cards very widely accepted.
