Two relaxed Christmas days: Luxembourg’s Winterlights, a night at the hotel, then the Trier market near the Porta Nigra.

This short break combines two Christmas markets less than an hour apart. On the first day, your group enjoys the chalets of Luxembourg, between Place d’Armes, Place de la Constitution and the UNESCO-listed old town. After a night at the hotel on half board, the coach takes you to Trier, Germany’s oldest city, whose market sets up on the Hauptmarkt and in front of the cathedral. Journeys are short, guided tours are offered as options, and there is free time for shopping and a mulled wine. An ideal pace to discover two cities without rushing.

Day 1: Luxembourg and its Winterlights

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Coach journey with breaks: our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Luxembourg in late morning.
  • Guided tour of the old town: Grand Ducal Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Chemin de la Corniche (on request).
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
  • Free afternoon at the Christmas markets on Place d’Armes and Place de la Constitution.
  • Check-in at a hotel in or near Luxembourg, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Trier and return

  • Breakfast at the hotel, then a short drive to Trier (less than an hour).
  • Guided tour of Trier: Porta Nigra, St Peter’s Cathedral and the Basilica of Constantine (on request).
  • Free time at the Christmas market on the Hauptmarkt and in the cathedral square.
  • Lunch in a restaurant in the old town (on request).
  • Departure in mid-afternoon, with regular breaks.
  • Return to your region in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
