Four days in Alsace during Advent: the markets of Colmar and Little Venice, then the villages of Riquewihr, Kaysersberg and Eguisheim.

Colmar and the villages of the Alsace Wine Route offer one of the most beautiful Christmas settings in Europe. In Colmar, several markets are held in the old town, on Place des Dominicains, around the Ancienne Douane and in Little Venice, along the Lauch. A day by coach then leads to Eguisheim and its circular lanes, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr, villages of half-timbered houses decorated for the festive season. A winegrower can welcome the group for a tasting of Alsace wines. Three nights in the same hotel, a coach always close at hand and unhurried days: Alsace to be savoured in complete serenity.

Programme

Day 1: Journey to Colmar

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice, at a time suited to your region.
  • Comfortable coach journey with breaks: our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Free lunch on the way.
  • Arrival in Alsace in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel for 3 nights, in or near Colmar.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Colmar and Little Venice

  • Breakfast at the hotel, then a short drive to the centre of Colmar.
  • Guided tour of the old town: Maison des Têtes, Ancienne Douane, Tanners’ quarter and Little Venice (on request).
  • Lunch booked in an Alsatian restaurant (on request).
  • Free afternoon at the Christmas markets of the old town.
  • Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Eguisheim, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr

  • Breakfast at the hotel, then a coach excursion along the Wine Route.
  • Stop in Eguisheim and stroll through its decorated concentric lanes.
  • Discover Kaysersberg and its Christmas market, depending on its opening days.
  • Tasting of Alsace wines at a winegrower’s (on request).
  • Late afternoon in Riquewihr, among ramparts, half-timbering and Christmas shops.
  • Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Return to Belgium

  • Breakfast at the hotel and departure in the morning.
  • Return journey with regular breaks and free lunch on the way.
  • Return in the evening to your region.

  • Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant.
  • Departure and return times adapted to your group’s pick-up point; price on quotation, from 20 participants.
  • Walking level: easy to moderate (cobblestones and gentle slopes in the villages; the coach drops the group as close as possible).
  • Christmas markets run from late November to late December: dates and opening days to be checked each year; bring warm clothing.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
