Luxembourg City’s Winterlights as a group: chalets on Place d’Armes and the Knuedler, mulled wine and the illuminated old town.

Every year during Advent, Luxembourg City lights up for Winterlights, its winter festival. Wooden chalets fill the upper town, on Place d’Armes, on Place Guillaume II, which locals call the Knuedler, and on Constitution Square, with its view down into the Pétrusse valley. Between stalls, your group can try Gromperekichelcher, crispy potato fritters, with a glass of Luxembourg Glühwäin. From the Chemin de la Corniche, the old quarters and fortifications listed by UNESCO unfold below you. Association, club or group of friends: the coach picks you up wherever you choose and the day is tailored to your group.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant.
  • Winterlights runs from late November to late December: dates to be checked each year; the upper town is hilly, so wear comfortable shoes.
  • Departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point; bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
