Hasselt Winterland as a group: an ice rink, wooden chalets and a festive mood, plus the National Jenever Museum and its tastings.

Every winter Hasselt, capital of Belgian Limburg, hosts Winterland, one of the liveliest Christmas events in Flanders. In the heart of the city, wooden chalets surround a large ice rink where young and old skate to music before warming up with mulled wine or hot chocolate. Hasselt is also the city of jenever: its National Jenever Museum, set in a former distillery, tells the story of this spirit and ends with a tasting. Between St Quentin’s Cathedral, the Grote Markt and the shopping streets, your group can also taste Hasselt speculoos. Clubs, associations or groups of friends from 20 participants: departure from the place of your choice and a festive, tailor-made day.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for every participant; departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point.
  • Winterland runs from late November to late December (often into early January): dates and opening hours to be checked each year; it gets very busy at weekends.
  • Bring warm clothes and gloves, which are essential on the ice rink.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
