A Christmas day in ’s-Hertogenbosch: a market in the heart of the old town, St John’s Cathedral and a Bossche bol tasting.

’s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), birthplace of the painter Hieronymus Bosch, is one of the most beautiful towns in North Brabant, about two hours from Belgium. In December, its historic centre fills with stalls, lights and music around the market square and shopping streets. St John’s Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece with astonishing sculptures, is discovered on a relaxed guided tour. You cannot leave without tasting a Bossche bol, a large choux pastry ball filled with cream and coated in chocolate. A simple and tasty day, with little walking and free time for festive shopping.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
