Three calm days in Lombardsijde: the Yser estuary nature reserve, birdlife, Nieuwpoort harbour and fresh fish.

Lombardsijde, a small, quiet resort between Westende and Nieuwpoort, lies beside one of the finest nature reserves on the Belgian coast, the Yser estuary. With a nature guide, your group discovers the mudflats and salt meadows where many birds rest, on flat, easy paths. Across the estuary, Nieuwpoort tempts with its large marina, its fish market and the King Albert I monument. This short open-air trip is perfect for lovers of nature and peace. The rest of the time is free, between beach, promenade and terraces.

Day 1: Arrival in Lombardsijde

  • Departure in the morning from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Lombardsijde in the late morning.
  • Reserved lunch in Lombardsijde (on request).
  • Gentle stroll on the promenade and beach.
  • Check-in at the hotel near the sea, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Yser estuary and Nieuwpoort

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
