Day 1: Departure and overnight stop

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Drive with regular breaks: our drivers drive no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Overnight stop at a hotel in the Tours area and dinner.

Day 2: Arrival in La Rochelle

• Breakfast and drive to the Atlantic coast (about 3 hours).
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Arrival in La Rochelle in the early afternoon, check-in at the hotel for five nights.
• Free stroll on the seafront, then dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: La Rochelle, city of towers

• Breakfast, then guided tour of the Old Port, the Chaîne and Saint-Nicolas towers and the arcaded streets (on request).
• Seafood lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Visit of the Aquarium La Rochelle (on request).
• Free time at the harbour, then dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: The Île de Ré

• Breakfast and coach crossing of the Île de Ré bridge.
• Guided tour of Saint-Martin-de-Ré and its Vauban fortifications (on request).
• Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Coach tour of the island: salt marshes, white villages and the Phare des Baleines.
• Climb to the top of the Phare des Baleines for the bravest (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5: Free day

• Free day at the beach, the market or the harbour (driver’s rest day).
• Breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: The Île d’Aix and Fort Boyard

• Breakfast and cruise to the Île d’Aix, passing Fort Boyard (on request).
• Lunch at a restaurant on the island (on request).
• Tour of the Île d’Aix by horse-drawn carriage (on request).
• Boat back to the mainland, then dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: The Marais Poitevin and overnight stop

• Breakfast and departure from La Rochelle.
• Commented punt trip through the Green Venice of the Marais Poitevin (on request).
• Lunch at a restaurant in the marshes, with local specialities (on request).
• Drive to the Tours area, overnight stop at a hotel and dinner.

Day 8: Return

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Return journey with regular breaks.
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Return to your region in the late afternoon or evening.
