Arcachon Bay for senior groups: the Dune du Pilat, Île aux Oiseaux, Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion (9 days)

Day 1: Departure and overnight stop

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Drive with regular breaks: our drivers drive no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Overnight stop at a hotel in the Orléans or Tours area and dinner.

Day 2: Arrival at Arcachon Bay

• Breakfast and drive to the South-West with regular breaks.
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Arrival in Arcachon in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel for six nights and dinner.

Day 3: Arcachon and the Île aux Oiseaux

• Breakfast, then guided tour of the Ville d’Hiver and its villas (on request).
• Stroll along the seafront and the Thiers pier.
• Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Commented cruise around the Île aux Oiseaux and its stilt huts (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 4: The Dune du Pilat and Cap Ferret

• Breakfast and drive to the Dune du Pilat, optional climb for those who wish.
• Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Boat crossing from Arcachon to Cap Ferret and free time (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5: Free day

• Free day at the beach and in town (driver’s rest day).
• Breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Bordeaux

• Breakfast and drive to Bordeaux (about 1 hour).
• Guided tour of the historic centre: Place de la Bourse, the water mirror, the quays and the Grosse Cloche (on request).
• Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Free time in the Saint-Pierre quarter and on Rue Sainte-Catherine.
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 7: Saint-Émilion and oyster tasting

• Breakfast and drive to Saint-Émilion.
• Guided tour of the village and its monolithic church (on request).
• Visit of a wine château and tasting (on request).
• Lunch at a restaurant (on request).
• Return via an oyster port on the bay and oyster tasting (on request).
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Return journey and overnight stop

• Breakfast and departure from Arcachon.
• Drive with regular breaks and lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Overnight stop at a hotel in the Orléans or Tours area and dinner.

Day 9: Return

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Return journey with regular breaks.
• Lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
