Art and nature in De Hoge Veluwe National Park: a ride on the white bikes and Van Gogh masterpieces at the Kröller-Müller Museum.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park combines forests, heathland and inland sand dunes, a rare landscape home to red deer, wild boar and mouflon. Pupils explore it on the famous white bikes provided in the park, observing how people and wind have shaped these habitats. At the heart of the park, the Kröller-Müller Museum holds one of the largest Van Gogh collections in the world, as well as a vast open-air sculpture garden. The day combines art education, natural science and physical activity. It suits pupils aged about 10 to 18.

Programme

  • Departure from your school at the agreed time.
  • Safety: our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, by day and by night.
  • Arrival at De Hoge Veluwe National Park: forests, heathland and sand dunes.
  • Entry to the national park and ride on the white bikes provided in the park (on request).
  • Picnic.
  • Visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum, home to one of the largest Van Gogh collections in the world (on request).
  • Walk through the museum's sculpture garden.
  • Educational workshop or guided group tour (on request).
  • Return to school at the end of the day.

Good to know

  • Each pupil needs an identity card (Kids-ID for under-12s) and parental permission to travel abroad.
  • Bring each pupil's European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
  • Pupils must be able to ride a bike for the cycling tour; in bad weather the park is explored on foot.
  • Times are adapted to your school; pupils are supervised by their teachers.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
