Ten days to discover Bohemia and Moravia: four UNESCO-listed towns, Prague, Pilsen and the Terezín Memorial.
This grand tour gives an overview of the Czech Republic, with an overnight stopover in Germany on the way out and back. Pupils pass through Pilsen, then discover three towns on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Český Krumlov and its castle, Telč and its Renaissance square, and Kutná Hora and its silver mines. Prague, the fourth UNESCO site of the trip, takes up three days, one of them entirely on foot for the driver’s rest. On the way back, the Terezín Memorial allows the class to approach the Second World War and the Holocaust. This end-of-cycle trip suits secondary school pupils, for history, geography and art history lessons.
