Dordrecht, the oldest town in Holland, its harbours and Great Church, then a peaceful cruise in the Biesbosch National Park.
At the meeting point of several rivers, Dordrecht is the oldest town of the County of Holland and has kept a remarkably authentic historic centre. Your group strolls along the old harbours lined with merchants’ houses, discovers the Great Church (Grote Kerk) and can visit the Dordrechts Museum or the Huis Van Gijn museum house. The next day, a boat cruise in the Biesbosch National Park reveals a maze of creeks, willows and birds without the slightest effort. The pace is peaceful, the ground flat, and the trip ends with lunch before the journey home.
Programme
Day 1: Dordrecht, the oldest town in Holland
- Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice; our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
- Coffee break on the way.
- Arrival in Dordrecht in the late morning.
- Seated lunch in the historic centre (on request).
- Guided tour of the old harbours and the Great Church (on request).
- Visit to the Dordrechts Museum or the Huis Van Gijn (on request).
- Free time in the shopping streets.
- Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: The Biesbosch and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Short drive to the Biesbosch National Park.
- Guided cruise through the creeks of the Biesbosch (on request).
- Seated lunch by the water (on request).
- Return journey with regular breaks, arriving back in your region in the evening.
