The world’s tallest Gothic choir in Beauvais, its astronomical clock, then Gerberoy, one of the most beautiful villages in France.
This day in the Oise brings together two very different treasures. In Beauvais, the unfinished Saint-Pierre Cathedral has the tallest Gothic choir in the world, nearly 48 metres under the vaults, and houses an astonishing 19th-century astronomical clock with moving automata. After a seated lunch, the coach continues to Gerberoy, a small village listed among the most beautiful villages in France, with its half-timbered houses, cobbled lanes and climbing roses. The painter Henri Le Sidaner created terraced gardens here, which can be visited in the warmer months. A gentle trip, about three hours from Belgium.
