Eight days of nature in the Julian Alps: Lakes Bled and Bohinj, gorges, bees and Triglav National Park.

This mountain stay introduces pupils to the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park, Slovenia’s only national park. Around Lakes Bled and Bohinj, the Vintgar Gorge and the Savica waterfall, they see first-hand how glaciers and water have shaped the landscape. In Radovljica, the Museum of Apiculture presents a very lively tradition in Slovenia, the country that initiated World Bee Day, and opens a discussion on biodiversity. Overnight stops in Bavaria on the way out and back make it possible to travel with a single driver, and one whole day is spent on foot. A programme for geography and science lessons, from the last years of primary school to the middle years of secondary school.
