At Amnéville Zoo in Lorraine, pupils observe animals from five continents and learn about protecting species.
Located in the Moselle department, about twenty kilometres from Metz, Amnéville Zoo is one of the major zoos in France. Pupils observe animals from five continents, from big cats and primates to birds and reptiles, in a wooded setting. The visit is an opportunity to look at the classification of living things, diets and natural habitats. It is also a chance to discuss the role of zoos in protecting endangered species. An ideal trip for science in primary school and biology in the first years of secondary school.
