Two days at Futuroscope near Poitiers: rides, science discoveries and a night show, with one night nearby.

Futuroscope, near Poitiers, is a leisure park devoted to images, science and technology. Simulators, big-screen films and rides about space, the weather or the animal world let pupils explore scientific ideas in a fun way. The two-day stay leaves time to enjoy the park without rushing, with the evening night show depending on the season. As the journey is long, it is covered by two drivers. This trip suits pupils in the last two years of primary school and in secondary school.

Programme

Day 1: Drive to Poitiers and first steps at Futuroscope

  • Departure from your school at the agreed time.
  • Coach journey: after 3 hours of driving at most, our drivers take a 30-minute break.
  • Drive to Poitiers with two drivers on board.
  • Arrival at Futuroscope in the early afternoon and discovery of the first rides.
  • The park’s night show, depending on the season.
  • Dinner and night in a youth hostel or hotel near the park.

Day 2: A day at Futuroscope and return

  • Breakfast, then a day in the park in small supervised groups.
  • Educational workshop on science and technology (on request).
  • Packed lunch brought by the pupils or a meal at the park’s restaurants.
  • Departure from the park in mid-afternoon, with two drivers on board.
  • Return to school in the evening.

  • Free places for the accompanying teachers (their share is included in the price per pupil)

Good to know

  • Identity card (Kids-ID for children under 12), parental authorisation to travel abroad and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each pupil.
  • Times adapted to your school; pupils are supervised by their teachers.
  • Opening calendar of the park and the night show to be checked according to the season; bring a small cushion for the journey.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
