Four days in the Vosges for your group: the Imagerie d’Épinal, Lake Gérardmer, the Route des Crêtes and the spa town of Plombières.
The Vosges offer plenty of fresh air just a few hours from Belgium, with lakes, fir forests and high mountain pastures. Your group stays in the Gérardmer area, the “pearl of the Vosges”, to walk around its lake and browse its household linen shops. The Route des Crêtes is driven by coach, with viewpoints over Alsace and, for those who wish, a traditional “repas marcaire” in a mountain farm inn. The trip begins in Épinal with the Imagerie and its popular prints, and ends in Plombières-les-Bains, an elegant spa town and home of the Plombières ice cream. Walks stay short and easy, with plenty of breaks.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Épinal and Gérardmer
- Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
- Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
- Visit to the Imagerie d’Épinal, a workshop of popular prints founded in 1796.
- Drive to Gérardmer (about 45 minutes).
- Check-in at a hotel in the Gérardmer area for 3 nights and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Lake Gérardmer and sweets
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Easy stroll along the shore of Lake Gérardmer.
- Boat trip around the lake (on request).
- Free time in town and in the Vosges household linen shops.
- Sit-down lunch in a lakeside restaurant (on request).
- Visit to a traditional Vosges sweet maker (on request).
- Stop at the Saut des Cuves waterfall on the Vologne, a short walk from the car park.
- Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 3: The Route des Crêtes
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to the Col de la Schlucht, then along the Route des Crêtes by coach, with stops at the viewpoints.
- Traditional repas marcaire in a Hautes-Vosges farm inn (on request).
- Munster cheese tasting at a producer’s (on request).
- Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and dinner.
Day 4: Plombières-les-Bains and journey home
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Plombières-les-Bains (about 1 hour) and stroll through the spa town.
- Tasting of a Plombières ice cream (on request).
- Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
- Journey home with a coffee break.
- Return in the evening to your region.

Good to know
- Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant; bring your usual medication.
- Times adapted to your group’s pick-up point; trip available from 20 participants on the date of your choice, price on quotation; wheelchairs and reduced mobility: please tell us when booking.
- Walking level: easy; a few short climbs at the viewpoints. The Route des Crêtes is generally open from May to October, to be checked each year and according to the weather. Bring a jacket, as it is cooler at altitude.
