An end-of-year outing to Valkenburg: underground Christmas markets in the caves, an illuminated town and a team lunch.

Half an hour from Liège, Valkenburg turns into a real Christmas town every winter, with markets set up underground in former marl quarries. Your staff stroll among the stalls of the Gemeentegrot and the Fluweelengrot, sheltered from cold and rain, then enjoy the illuminated streets of the little town. It is the ideal end-of-year outing to thank your teams in a warm atmosphere, without a long drive. Coach, activities and meals: we organise everything on a turnkey basis, from 20 participants, on the date of your choice, and adapt the day to your budget and group size.

Programme

  • Coach departure from outside your company, at the agreed time.
  • Drive to Valkenburg: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Valkenburg and visit of the underground Christmas market in the Gemeentegrot.
  • Team lunch in a restaurant in Valkenburg (on request).
  • Visit of the Christmas market in the Fluweelengrot, beneath the castle ruins.
  • Free time in the illuminated streets of the Christmas town.
  • Illuminated Christmas parade in the evening, depending on the calendar (on request).
  • Return journey and arrival back at your company in the evening.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant (trip to the Netherlands).
  • Departure and return times are adapted to your company’s working hours; several pick-up points are possible.
  • The cave Christmas markets run from mid-November to late December: dates and the parade are to be checked each year; it is about 12 °C in the caves.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
