3 days in Turin: the Egyptian Museum, the National Cinema Museum inside the Mole Antonelliana and the first capital of unified Italy.
Turin, the first capital of the Kingdom of Italy in 1861, is ideal for a short school trip. Its Egyptian Museum holds one of the world’s richest collections devoted to ancient Egypt: statues, papyri, sarcophagi and the grave goods of Kha and Merit. Inside the Mole Antonelliana, the city’s landmark, the National Cinema Museum traces the history of moving pictures, and a panoramic lift rises to the viewing terrace. Piazza Castello, the Royal Palace of the House of Savoy and the arcades of Via Po complete the discovery of the city. This trip suits secondary pupils, especially for history, Latin, art and media education.
