Sitges for senior groups: the Penedès and cava, Barcelona and Poblet monastery (9 days)

Day 1: Journey to France

• Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Coffee break on the way and free lunch at a service area or roadside restaurant.
• Arrival in the Lyon area in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel for a stopover night.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Sitges

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive into Spain via the Rhône valley, Perpignan and Catalonia.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in Sitges in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel near the sea for 6 nights.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Sitges on foot

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• A day without the coach (driver's rest day).
• Walk along the seafront to the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, facing the Mediterranean.
• Visit to the Cau Ferrat museum, the house and studio of the painter Santiago Rusiñol (on request).
• Free afternoon on the beach.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: The Penedès and cava

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (about 40 minutes), the capital of cava.
• Visit to a cava cellar with tasting (on request).
• Lunch in a restaurant (on request).
• In the afternoon, a stroll through the old town of Vilafranca del Penedès.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Free day

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free day on the beach or in the lanes of Sitges.
• Paella lunch by the sea (on request).
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Barcelona

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Barcelona (about 45 minutes).
• Panoramic coach tour: Passeig de Gràcia, Montjuïc hill and the port.
• Visit to the Sagrada Família basilica (on request).
• Lunch in a restaurant (on request).
• Free time on the Ramblas and in the Gothic Quarter.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Poblet monastery

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to the monastery of Poblet (about 1 hour 15 minutes), a UNESCO site.
• Guided tour of the Cistercian monastery of Poblet (on request).
• Lunch in a restaurant (on request).
• Stop at the monastery of Santes Creus on the way back.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Journey to France

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to France and stopover night in the Lyon area.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Return journey to Belgium.
