Benidorm and the Costa Blanca: Alicante, Guadalest, Altea and Elche (12 days)

Day 1: Journey to the Rhône valley

• Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in the Lyon area in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel for an overnight stop, dinner.

Day 2: Journey to Catalonia

• Breakfast and drive to Spain.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in the Tarragona area in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel for an overnight stop, dinner.

Day 3: Arrival in Benidorm

• Breakfast and drive along the Mediterranean coast.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in Benidorm in the early afternoon, check-in at the hotel for 7 nights on half board, dinner.

Day 4: Benidorm on foot

• Day without the coach (driver’s rest day).
• Walk through the old town to the “Balcony of the Mediterranean” viewpoint.
• Free afternoon on Levante or Poniente beach.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Alicante

• Drive to Alicante (about 45 minutes).
• Lift up to Santa Bárbara Castle (on request).
• Walk along the palm-lined Explanada de España.
• Free lunch and return to the hotel.

Day 6: Guadalest and the Fonts de l’Algar

• Drive to Guadalest, a hilltop village dominated by its castle and turquoise lake.
• Lunch booked in a mountain restaurant (on request).
• In the afternoon, the Fonts de l’Algar waterfalls (laid-out paths, partly with steps).
• Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7: Free day

• Free day to enjoy the beach and the promenade.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Altea and Calp

• Morning in Altea: white old town and church with blue domes.
• Free lunch in Calp, at the foot of the Rock of Ifach.
• Boat trip along the coast (on request).
• Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 9: Elche and its palm grove

• Drive to Elche (about 1 hour).
• Visit of the Huerto del Cura garden, in the heart of the UNESCO-listed palm grove (on request).
• Free lunch in town and return to Benidorm for the last dinner.

Day 10: Journey to Catalonia

• Breakfast and departure from Benidorm.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in the Tarragona area in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel, dinner.

Day 11: Journey to the Rhône valley

• Breakfast and drive to France.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in the Lyon area in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel, dinner.

Day 12: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast and departure from the hotel.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Free lunch stop on the way.
• Return in the evening to your region.
