Salou and the Costa Dorada: Tarragona, Montserrat and the Ebro Delta (10 days)

Day 1: Journey to the Rhône valley

• Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in the Lyon area in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel for an overnight stop, dinner.

Day 2: Arrival in Salou

• Breakfast and drive to Spain.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in Salou, check-in at the hotel for 7 nights on half board, dinner.

Day 3: Roman Tarragona

• Drive to Tarragona (about 20 minutes).
• Guided tour of Tarragona: Roman amphitheatre, cathedral and old town (on request).
• Walk along the Rambla Nova to the “Balcony of the Mediterranean”.
• Free lunch and free afternoon in Salou.

Day 4: Montserrat

• Drive to the Montserrat massif (about 1 hr 30), coach up to the monastery.
• Discovery of the basilica and the Black Madonna, “La Moreneta”.
• Lunch booked at the restaurant on site (on request).
• Free time to enjoy the views, then return to the hotel.

Day 5: Free day in Salou

• Free day (driver’s rest day).
• Beach, Jaume I promenade and coastal path along the coves.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: The Ebro Delta

• Drive to the Ebro Delta, a nature park of rice fields and lagoons (about 1 hr 15).
• Boat cruise to the mouth of the Ebro (on request).
• Lunch of Delta rice specialities (on request).
• Birdwatching from a viewpoint and return to the hotel.

Day 7: Poblet and Montblanc

• Drive to the royal monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Guided tour of Poblet Monastery (on request).
• Free lunch in Montblanc, a small medieval town surrounded by walls.
• Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 8: Cambrils

• Morning in Cambrils: fishing port, fish market and seaside walk.
• Fish lunch in a harbour restaurant (on request).
• Free afternoon in Salou and last dinner at the hotel.

Day 9: Journey to the Rhône valley

• Breakfast and departure from Salou.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Arrival in the Lyon area in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel, dinner.

Day 10: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast and departure from the hotel.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Free lunch stop on the way.
• Return in the evening to your region.
