Eleven days in eastern Poland: Białystok, Tykocin, a Tatar mosque, Supraśl monastery and the primeval forest of Białowieża.

On the borders of Belarus, Podlasie is a land of forests, rivers and wooden villages where Catholics, Orthodox Christians and descendants of the Tatars live side by side. Your group discovers Tykocin and its great baroque synagogue, Białystok and the Branicki Palace, nicknamed the “Versailles of Podlasie”, the Orthodox monastery of Supraśl and the small wooden mosque of Kruszyniany. The heart of the trip is Białowieża Forest, the last great lowland primeval forest in Europe, listed by UNESCO, where European bison roam free. A guided walk in the strict reserve follows flat paths, and the show reserve lets you see the bison up close. The journey is long: it is broken up by overnight stops near Berlin and Warsaw, with only two hotels on site and a free day.
