A day in Amsterdam for your group, ending with an evening cruise past the light artworks of the Light Festival on the canals.

Every winter, the Amsterdam Light Festival places light artworks by artists from all over the world along the city’s canals. The best way to see them is on a boat cruise at nightfall, when the reflections dance on the water between the gabled houses of the historic centre. Before that, your group has the afternoon to stroll from Dam Square to the Bloemenmarkt, the floating flower market on the Singel, with its bulbs and seasonal decorations. Whether you are an association, a club or a group of friends, the coach picks you up wherever you choose and we tailor the day to your group, with or without a booked dinner.

Programme

  • Departure in the late morning from the place of your choice.
  • Drive to Amsterdam.
  • A break of at least 30 minutes every 3 hours of driving, for everyone’s safety.
  • Arrival in the early afternoon.
  • Free time in the centre: Dam Square, Kalverstraat and the Bloemenmarkt, the floating flower market on the Singel.
  • Guided walk through the historic centre and the Begijnhof (on request).
  • At nightfall, boat cruise on the canals past the light artworks of the Light Festival.
  • Group dinner in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
  • Coach journey home, arriving late in the evening.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant; departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point.
  • The Amsterdam Light Festival runs only for a limited period, usually from late November or early December to mid-January: exact dates must be checked each year.
  • Bring warm clothes, as it gets chilly by the water in the evening; central Amsterdam is explored on foot, and the coach drops off and picks up the group at a point agreed with the driver.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
