Dordrecht’s great Christmas market as a group: stalls along the old harbours, the Grote Kerk, oliebollen and an optional Kinderdijk stop.
Dordrecht, the oldest town in Holland, hosts one of the largest Christmas markets in the Netherlands every December. For a few days, a great many stalls line the streets and quays of the historic centre, between gabled façades and old harbours. Music accompanies visitors all the way to the Grote Kerk, the great Gothic church whose tower dominates the town. Your group enjoys a day of strolling, mulled wine and oliebollen, the Dutch year-end doughnuts. On the way, a stop at the Kinderdijk windmills, listed by UNESCO, is possible.
Programme
- Morning departure from the location of your choice, with a break on the way.
- Photo stop at the Kinderdijk windmills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (on request).
- Arrival in Dordrecht and visit to the Christmas market in the streets and along the old harbours.
- Group lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
