Two days in Amsterdam for your group: a Light Festival cruise in the evening, then the Jordaan, canals and Rijksmuseum the next day.

In winter, Amsterdam takes on a festive air: decorated shop windows, illuminated bridges and, along the canals, the light artworks of the Amsterdam Light Festival. With a night in the city, your group has time to enjoy it all at a relaxed pace. On the first evening, a boat cruise glides between the artists’ installations and the gabled houses reflected in the water. The next day, you stroll through the Jordaan, a district of small canals and hidden courtyards, before meeting Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum or doing some last shopping around Dam Square. Association, club, committee or group of friends: you choose the date and departure point, and we organise the rest.

Programme

Day 1: Amsterdam and the Light Festival

  • Departure in the morning from the place of your choice.
  • Drive to Amsterdam.
  • A break of at least 30 minutes every 3 hours of driving, for everyone’s safety.
  • Free time in the centre: Dam Square, Kalverstraat and the Bloemenmarkt, the floating flower market on the Singel.
  • Check-in at the hotel, in Amsterdam or nearby.
  • At nightfall, boat cruise on the canals past the light artworks of the Light Festival.
  • Group dinner in a restaurant in the centre (on request).

Day 2: The Jordaan, the Rijksmuseum and return

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided walk through the Jordaan and along the 17th-century canals listed by UNESCO (on request).
  • Visit to the Rijksmuseum and its Gallery of Honour, with Rembrandt’s Night Watch (on request).
  • Free time for lunch and last-minute shopping.
  • Departure in the mid-afternoon.
  • Return journey with regular breaks.
  • Return to your home area in the evening.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant; departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point.
  • The Amsterdam Light Festival runs only for a limited period, usually from late November or early December to mid-January: exact dates must be checked each year.
  • Bring warm clothes, as it gets chilly by the water in the evening; central Amsterdam is explored on foot, and the coach drops off and picks up the group at a point agreed with the driver.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
