Two days in the Meuse valley: Namur citadel by cable car, Dinant and its collegiate church, and a river cruise.

The Meuse valley offers superb scenery to enjoy without effort. In Namur, capital of Wallonia, the cable car climbs to the citadel, with a sweeping view over the confluence of the Sambre and the Meuse. The old town of Namur, with its squares and lanes, is then explored at a gentle pace. In Dinant, birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the collegiate church of Notre-Dame and its onion-shaped spire are reflected in the river below the cliffs and the citadel. A cruise on the Meuse lets you admire the setting in comfort. One night in a hotel with a lift and reserved meals complete this gentle break.

Day 1: Namur, at the confluence

  • Departure in the morning from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Comfortable coach journey; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Namur in the late morning.
  • Reserved lunch in the old town of Namur (on request)
  • Cable car ride and guided visit of the citadel (on request)
  • Panoramic view of the Sambre and the Meuse from the citadel terraces.
  • Free time in the lanes of old Namur.
  • Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Dinant and the Meuse

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive along the Meuse to Dinant.
  • Cruise on the Meuse from Dinant (on request)

  • Free time near the collegiate church of Notre-Dame and the House of Mr Sax.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required; departure and return times are adapted to your pick-up point.
  • Walking level: moderate (cobbled streets and a few slopes, at a gentle pace; comfortable shoes recommended).

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
