Three days in Mulhouse for your group: the Cité de l’Automobile, Cité du Train, Écomusée d’Alsace and the village of Eguisheim.
Mulhouse is France’s capital of technical museums, a real treat for lovers of fine machines and for the simply curious alike. The Cité de l’Automobile houses the Schlumpf collection, one of the largest in the world, in flat and spacious halls with benches to rest on. At the Écomusée d’Alsace in Ungersheim, your group strolls through a reconstructed village of half-timbered houses with craftspeople and storks. The last day leads to Eguisheim, a flower-filled village with concentric lanes, for an Alsace wine tasting before the journey home. The pace stays gentle, with one hotel for the whole stay.
Programme
Day 1: Journey to Mulhouse and the Cité de l’Automobile
- Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
- Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
- Visit to the Cité de l’Automobile and the Schlumpf collection, with audio guide.
- Check-in at a hotel in the Mulhouse area for 2 nights and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Écomusée d’Alsace and Cité du Train
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Ungersheim (about 20 minutes) and visit to the Écomusée d’Alsace, a village of old half-timbered houses.
- Alsatian lunch on site (on request).
- Visit to the Cité du Train in Mulhouse (on request).
- Free time on the Place de la Réunion, in the heart of the old town.
- Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 3: Eguisheim and journey home
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Eguisheim (about 40 minutes) and stroll through the lanes circling the castle.
- Alsace wine tasting at a winegrower’s (on request).
- Sit-down lunch in a restaurant in Eguisheim (on request).
- Journey home in the early afternoon with a coffee break.
- Return in the evening to your region.
