Moravia: Brno, Lednice-Valtice, Kroměříž and Olomouc (9 days)

Day 1: Journey into Germany

• Morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Regular breaks on the road: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Overnight stop in Germany, in the Nuremberg area, to break up the journey: dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 2: Arrival in Brno

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Moravia, with a lunch break on the way.
• Arrival in Brno in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel for 6 nights.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Brno, capital of Moravia

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided tour of Brno: Freedom Square, the Cabbage Market, the Old Town Hall and the Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul (on request).
• Lunch in the centre (on request).
• In the afternoon, coach ride up to Špilberk Castle for the view over the city, then free time.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Lednice and Valtice

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to the Lednice-Valtice estate, a UNESCO-listed cultural landscape.
• Guided tour of Lednice Castle (on request), then a boat trip on the park ponds (depending on the season).
• Lunch in the area (on request).
• Tasting of Moravian wines in the cellars of Valtice Castle (on request).
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Kroměříž and Olomouc

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Kroměříž and guided tour of the Archbishop’s Palace and the Flower Garden (on request).
• Lunch in Kroměříž or Olomouc (on request).
• Afternoon in Olomouc: the Holy Trinity Column, the astronomical clock and the Baroque squares, with a guide (on request).
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Free day in Brno

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free day in Brno (driver’s rest day): cafés, museums or a stroll in the parks.
• Guided tour of Villa Tugendhat, a masterpiece by the architect Mies van der Rohe, to be booked well in advance (on request).
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: The Moravian Karst and the Punkva Caves

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to the Moravian Karst, north of Brno.
• Visit of the Punkva Caves with a boat trip on the underground river and a view of the Macocha Abyss (on request).
• Lunch in the area (on request).
• Return to Brno and free late afternoon.
• Farewell dinner with Moravian music (on request), or dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Back into Germany

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning departure from Brno.
• Regular breaks on the road: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Overnight stop in Germany, in the Nuremberg area, to break up the journey: dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 9: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Return journey with regular breaks.
• Return to your area in the evening.
