Eight days in North Bohemia: the rock towns of Bohemian Paradise, Liberec, Jablonec and its glass jewellery, and Frýdlant Castle.
Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj), the first protected landscape area of former Czechoslovakia, is a land of sandstone rock towns, hilltop castles and villages of wooden houses. Your group stays five nights in Liberec, at the foot of Ještěd mountain, a town whose neo-Renaissance town hall would suit a capital. You will also discover Jablonec nad Nisou, a world centre of glass costume jewellery, Frýdlant Castle and Turnov, the town of Bohemian garnet. The long journeys are broken by an overnight stop in Thuringia on the way out and back, and a free day is planned for the driver’s rest. The programme can be tailored, with prices on quotation, for groups of 20 participants or more.
