A day in Luxembourg City: UNESCO-listed old town, the Chemin de la Corniche, the Bock Casemates and a tourist train ride.

Luxembourg City is a capital on a human scale, perched on its rock above the Alzette and Pétrusse valleys and easy to explore at a gentle pace. Its old quarters and fortifications are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Chemin de la Corniche, nicknamed “Europe’s most beautiful balcony”, offers superb views over the Grund district. To spare your legs, the tourist train and the public lifts link the upper and lower town without effort. Your group enjoys a reserved lunch and free time around the Place d’Armes before a relaxed, comfortable coach ride home.

Programme

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice; our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Luxembourg City in late morning and stroll around the Place d’Armes, the Place Guillaume II and past the Grand Ducal Palace.
  • Guided tour of the old town and Notre-Dame Cathedral (on request).
  • Reserved lunch at a restaurant in the old town (on request).
  • Walk along the Chemin de la Corniche, with views over the Grund and Neumünster Abbey.
  • Visit to the Bock Casemates, tunnels carved into the rock (on request).
  • City tour by tourist train (on request).
  • Free time to stroll, enjoy a coffee or do some shopping.
  • Departure in late afternoon.
  • Return to your region in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
