A day in northern Luxembourg: Clervaux, its castle and The Family of Man exhibition, then Bourscheid Castle.

Nestled in a bend of the Clerve river in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes, Clervaux is a peaceful little town crowned by its white castle and the Benedictine Abbey of Saint Maurice. The castle houses The Family of Man, the famous photography exhibition created by Edward Steichen and listed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World register, which you can visit at your own pace. After a reserved lunch, the coach follows the roads of the Sûre valley to Bourscheid, one of the largest castle ruins in the country, perched on its rocky spur. A green and cultural day, without any rush.

  • Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice; our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Clervaux in late morning.
  • Visit to The Family of Man exhibition at Clervaux Castle (on request).

  • Free time in the centre; the coach can take you up to the Abbey of Saint Maurice.

  • The exhibition is closed on some days and for part of the winter: opening days to be checked.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
