Four days with a single hotel: Luxembourg City and its casemates, Roman Trier, a cruise and the wine villages of the Moselle.
This four-day stay radiates from one hotel in or around Luxembourg City, with no change of room. The first two days are devoted to the capital: the UNESCO-listed old town, the Chemin de la Corniche, the Bock Casemates, the tourist train and the Pfaffenthal panoramic lift. On the third day, less than an hour away, Trier reveals its UNESCO-listed Roman monuments, from the Porta Nigra to the Basilica of Constantine, and its cathedral. On the last day, the Luxembourg Moselle offers Schengen, the Remich promenade and a cruise among the vineyards before an evening return. Short days, reserved lunches and half board guarantee a serene pace.
Programme
Day 1: Arrival in Luxembourg City
- Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice; our drivers drive for no more than 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Luxembourg City in early afternoon.
- Reserved lunch at a restaurant on the way (on request).
- Guided tour of the old town and Notre-Dame Cathedral (on request).
- Walk along the Chemin de la Corniche.
- Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Luxembourg City at a gentle pace
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- City tour by tourist train (on request).
- Visit to the Bock Casemates (on request).
- Ride down to the Pfaffenthal in the panoramic lift.
- Reserved lunch at a restaurant in the Grund (on request).
- Free afternoon around the Place d’Armes and the Place Guillaume II.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Trier, the Rome of the North
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Trier in Germany (less than an hour).
- Guided tour of Trier: Porta Nigra, cathedral, Basilica of Constantine and market square (on request).
- Reserved lunch at a restaurant in Trier (on request).
- Free time in the old town, then return to the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Luxembourg Moselle and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Schengen and stop at the Schengen Agreement monument.
- Moselle cruise with lunch on board (on request).
- Stroll along the esplanade of Remich.
- Cellar visit and tasting of Crémant de Luxembourg (on request).
- Departure in late afternoon.
- Return to your region in the evening.
