The Languedoc for senior groups: the Cité of Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi, Collioure and Sète (10 days)

Day 1: Journey to Burgundy

• Morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice.
• Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Arrival in the late afternoon, overnight stop in the Beaune area and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Journey to the Languedoc

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive south through the Rhône Valley, with a coffee break.
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Check-in at a hotel in the Narbonne area for 7 nights and dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: The Cité of Carcassonne

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Carcassonne (about 1 hour) and discovery of the medieval Cité and its ramparts.
• Visit to the Château Comtal and the ramparts (on request).
• Cassoulet lunch in the Cité (on request).
• Free time in the lanes, then return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 4: The Canal du Midi and Béziers

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Béziers and stop at the nine locks of Fonserannes.
• Cruise on the Canal du Midi (on request).
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Easy stroll in Béziers, with views of Saint-Nazaire Cathedral.
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5: Collioure and the Côte Vermeille

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Collioure (about 1 hour 15) and stroll around the harbour and the waterside bell tower.
• Fish lunch in a restaurant in Collioure (on request).
• Banyuls wine tasting in a wine cellar (on request).
• Return along the coast, then dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Free day in Narbonne

• Free day on site (driver’s rest day).
• Free time at Les Halles de Narbonne, the Via Domitia and the Cathedral of Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur.
• Visit to the Narbo Via museum (on request).
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Fontfroide and Lagrasse

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visit to Fontfroide Abbey, a former Cistercian abbey in the Corbières.
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant in the Corbières (on request).
• Afternoon in Lagrasse, a medieval village on the river Orbieu.
• Corbières wine tasting at a winegrower’s (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 8: Sète and the Thau lagoon

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Sète (about 1 hour) and coach ride up Mont Saint-Clair for the view over the sea and the lagoon.
• Stroll along the canals and the fishing port.
• Bouzigues oyster tasting on the shore of the Thau lagoon (on request).
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 9: Journey to Burgundy

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive north through the Rhône Valley, with a coffee break.
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Overnight stop in the Beaune area and dinner at the hotel.

Day 10: Journey home

• Breakfast at the hotel, then journey home.
• Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Sit-down lunch in a restaurant on the way (on request).
• Return in the evening to your region.
