Grand tour of the Czech Republic: Prague, Český Krumlov, Telč and Brno (12 days)

Day 1: Journey into Germany

• Morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Regular breaks on the road: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Overnight stop in Germany, in the Nuremberg area, to break up the journey: dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 2: Arrival in Prague

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Prague (about 3 hours 30 minutes), arriving in the late morning.
• Lunch in the Old Town (on request).
• Guided walk on Old Town Square, at the Astronomical Clock and on to Charles Bridge (on request).
• Check-in at the hotel for 3 nights.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Prague Castle

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Coach ride up to the Castle district and guided tour of the Castle and St Vitus Cathedral (on request).
• Walk down through the Lesser Town and lunch in the district (on request).
• Guided cruise on the Vltava (on request), or free afternoon.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Kutná Hora

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Excursion to Kutná Hora, the former silver town.
• Guided tour of St Barbara’s Church and the Sedlec Ossuary (on request).
• Lunch in Kutná Hora (on request).
• Return to Prague and free evening.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Hluboká and Český Krumlov

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to South Bohemia.
• Guided tour of Hluboká Castle and its state rooms (on request).
• Lunch in the area (on request).
• Arrival in Český Krumlov and check-in at the hotel for 2 nights.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Český Krumlov

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided tour of Český Krumlov Castle and its gardens (on request).
• Lunch in the old town (on request).
• Free afternoon in the lanes along the Vltava.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Telč and arrival in Brno

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Telč and a stroll on its large Renaissance square, listed by UNESCO.
• Guided tour of Telč Castle (on request).
• Lunch in Telč (on request).
• Arrival in Brno in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel for 4 nights.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Brno

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided tour of Brno: Freedom Square, the Cabbage Market and the Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul (on request).
• Lunch in town (on request).
• Coach ride up to Špilberk Castle, then free time.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Lednice and Valtice

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Excursion to the Lednice-Valtice estate: guided tour of Lednice Castle (on request).
• Boat trip on the park ponds (depending on the season).
• Lunch in the area (on request).
• Tasting of Moravian wines in the cellars of Valtice Castle (on request).
• Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Free day in Brno

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free day in Brno (driver’s rest day): parks, cafés, museums or rest at the hotel.
• Farewell dinner with Moravian music (on request), or dinner at the hotel.

Day 11: Back into Germany

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning departure from Brno.
