Gouda at an easy pace: cheese market, the stained glass of the Sint-Janskerk, a Gothic town hall and warm stroopwafels.
Gouda is a small, flat and compact town in South Holland, where everything can be reached on foot within minutes. On the Market Square stands one of the oldest Gothic town halls in the Netherlands, and close by, the weigh house of 1668 tells the story of the cheese that made the town famous. The Sint-Janskerk, the longest church in the country, houses an exceptional collection of 16th-century stained-glass windows. On Thursday mornings from April to August, the traditional cheese market livens up the square. Your group ends the day with a treat around the famous stroopwafels.
