A day of flowers in Dutch Limburg: the castle gardens of Arcen, the Meuse and the centre of Venlo.

About an hour and a half from Liège, this outing involves little driving and leaves plenty of time on site. In the morning, your group discovers Venlo, a town on the Meuse, with its late 16th-century Renaissance town hall and lively square. The afternoon is devoted to the castle gardens of Arcen, a vast flower-filled park around a 17th-century castle, with a rose garden, themed gardens, ponds and greenhouses. The paths are wide and flat, dotted with benches and terraces, and everyone goes at their own pace. A gentle, colourful day without fatigue, ideal in spring and summer.

Programme

  • Morning departure from the place of your choice.
  • Coffee break on the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Venlo in the mid-morning.

  • Cruise on the Meuse between Venlo and Arcen, with the coach following by road (on request).
  • Free visit of the castle gardens of Arcen.

  • Return to your region in the late afternoon.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant; bring your usual medication.
  • Times adapted to your group's pick-up point; groups from 20 participants, on the date of your choice, price on quotation. Walking level: easy, wide and flat paths, many benches; wheelchair users: please tell us when booking.
  • The Arcen gardens open from about April to October, and the Meuse cruise operates in season: dates and times to be checked each year.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
