An 11-day tour of Extremadura: 6 nights in Cáceres, the Roman theatre of Mérida, Trujillo, Guadalupe monastery and Monfragüe.
Extremadura is one of the most authentic regions of Spain, still far from mass tourism. Your group stays 6 nights in Cáceres, whose walled old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, seems frozen in the age of knights. From this single hotel you discover the Roman theatre of Mérida, the Plaza Mayor of Trujillo, the royal monastery of Guadalupe and the vultures of Monfragüe National Park. The journey to Spain is made in three stages, with regular breaks, one night in the Poitiers area and another in Burgos. Iberian ham, Torta del Casar cheese and smoked paprika from La Vera accompany the optional lunches, and a day without the coach leaves time to stroll around Cáceres.
