Dordrecht, the oldest town in Holland, its old harbours and a restful cruise in the Biesbosch National Park.

Dordrecht received its town rights in 1220, making it the oldest town in the County of Holland. Its old harbours lined with merchants’ houses, its quays and its Grote Kerk with its massive tower can be discovered on a short, flat walk. It was also here, at the Hof van Dordrecht, that the first free assembly of the States of Holland met in 1572. In the afternoon, your group boards a cruise in the Biesbosch, one of the last freshwater tidal deltas in Europe, among willows, reed beds and water birds. A calm day, enjoying the scenery while seated on board.

Good to know

  • Valid identity card and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for each participant; bring your usual medication.
  • Times adapted to your group's pick-up point; groups from 20 participants, on the date of your choice, price on quotation. Walking level: easy, short and flat walks, some cobbled quays; wheelchair users: please tell us when booking.
  • Biesbosch cruises run mainly from April to October (times to be checked); bring a windproof jacket for the boat.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
