Three days in Flanders: Kortrijk and its béguinage, Oudenaarde and its tapestries, the Flemish Ardennes hills and Geraardsbergen.
Between the Lys and the Scheldt, southern Flanders hides human-sized art towns. In Kortrijk, your group strolls through the UNESCO-listed béguinage at the foot of the Broel towers and learns about the flax that made the valley rich. Oudenaarde charms with its Gothic town hall, famous tapestries and a centre devoted to the Tour of Flanders, a cycling legend. The famous cobbled climbs of the Flemish Ardennes are discovered comfortably from the coach, with a panoramic stop at the Kluisberg. The trip ends in Geraardsbergen, at the top of its famous Wall, with a slice of the local tart. The town centres are partly cobbled, but walks remain short and flat.
Programme
Day 1: Kortrijk, town on the Lys
- Departure in the morning from the pick-up point of your choice.
- Coffee break on the way; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
- Arrival in Kortrijk in the late morning.
- Reserved lunch in the centre (on request).
- Guided tour of the centre: Grote Markt and belfry, St Elizabeth’s béguinage and the Broel towers on the Lys (on request).
- Visit of Texture, the museum of the Lys and flax (on request).
- Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Oudenaarde and the Flemish Ardennes
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Short drive to Oudenaarde and stroll on the Markt, in front of the Gothic town hall.
- Visit of the Tour of Flanders Centre (on request).
- Visit of the MOU museum and its collection of Oudenaarde tapestries (on request).
- Reserved lunch in Oudenaarde (on request).
- Panoramic coach tour through the hills of the Flemish Ardennes, with a stop at the Kluisberg.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Geraardsbergen and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Geraardsbergen and up by coach to the Oudenberg chapel, at the top of the famous Wall.
- Stroll in the centre, near the Geraardsbergen Manneken Pis, the town’s ’oldest citizen’.
- Tasting of mattentaart, the Geraardsbergen tart (on request).
- Reserved lunch in Geraardsbergen (on request).
- Return journey in the afternoon, arriving back in your area in the evening.

Good to know
- A valid identity card is required; departure and return times are adapted to your pick-up point.
- Walking level: moderate (cobbled streets and a few slopes, at a gentle pace; comfortable shoes recommended).
- Wheelchair users and guests with reduced mobility: please let us know when booking; bring your usual medication.
- The Tour of Flanders is held in early April, when the region is very busy (date to be checked each year); some museums are closed on Mondays.
