Seven days in Touraine from a single hotel: Chartres, Chambord, Blois, Chenonceau, Amboise, Villandry and Fontevraud Abbey.
The Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the land of the kings of France and of gentle living. Your group stays for six nights in a hotel in the Tours area and each day visits just one or two châteaux, without rushing. Chambord and its double-helix staircase, Chenonceau spanning the river Cher, Amboise and Leonardo da Vinci’s Clos Lucé, then the gardens of Villandry follow one another day by day. Journeys are short, visits are guided and lunches can be booked along the way. A free day in Tours and a Loire wine tasting round off this elegant tour.
