Two relaxed days in Bruges: canal boat trip, béguinage, chocolate shops and an outing to Damme.

Bruges is best discovered at an easy pace: cobbled lanes, gabled houses and willow-lined canals make it one of the best-preserved cities in Europe. Your group enjoys a guided tour of the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a boat trip on the canals, ideal for admiring the city while seated. The béguinage and the Minnewater lake offer a peaceful moment, followed by free time in the chocolate and lace shops. The next day, the small town of Damme, legendary home of Till Eulenspiegel, awaits just a few kilometres away on the canal. One night in a hotel with a lift, reserved meals and a comfortable coach make this a restful trip from start to finish.

Day 1: Bruges, city of canals

  • Departure in the morning from the pick-up point of your choice.
  • Comfortable coach journey; our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
  • Arrival in Bruges in the late morning.
  • Reserved lunch in a restaurant in the centre (on request)
  • Guided tour of the historic centre: Market Square (Markt), Burg Square and the Basilica of the Holy Blood (on request)
  • Boat trip on the canals, with commentary (on request)
  • Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Béguinage and Damme

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Gentle stroll through the béguinage and around the Minnewater (Lake of Love).
  • Free time in the chocolate and lace shops.
  • Short coach ride to Damme, a small town on the canal.
  • Reserved lunch in Damme (on request)
  • Stroll past the Gothic town hall and the Church of Our Lady.
  • Return journey in the late afternoon, arriving back in your area in the evening.

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required; departure and return times are adapted to your pick-up point.
  • Walking level: moderate (cobbled streets and a few slopes, at a gentle pace; comfortable shoes recommended).

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
