Beloeil Castle, home of the Princes de Ligne, its French formal gardens and the House of Giants in Ath, in Hainaut.

Nicknamed the “Belgian Versailles”, Beloeil Castle has been the home of the Princes de Ligne for centuries and preserves furnished salons, paintings and a rich library. Its French formal gardens stretch around a large lake, with long, flat vistas that are easy to explore on foot. In the afternoon, your group continues to nearby Ath to discover the House of Giants, devoted to the famous giants of the Ducasse, a festival listed by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. The programme leaves time for a seated lunch and a coffee break on Ath’s Grand-Place. A day of heritage and traditions, without fatigue.

  • Drive to Hainaut, with a coffee break on the way (our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break).

  • Short drive to Ath.
  • Guided tour of the House of Giants (on request).

Good to know

  • A valid identity card is required for each participant; departure and return times are adapted to your group’s pick-up point.
  • Walking level: easy (flat gardens with long paths; a few steps inside the castle).
  • Wheelchair users or guests with reduced mobility: please let us know when booking so that we can adapt the programme.
  • Beloeil Castle opens seasonally (usually April to October): days and times to be checked each year.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
