A 10-day tour of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria: Stuttgart, Ulm, Munich, Neuschwanstein, Nuremberg and Würzburg.

From Swabia to Franconia, this tour links the great cities of southern Germany, each with its own character. Stuttgart, the birthplace of the motor car, is home to the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums around its elegant Schlossplatz. In Ulm, Albert Einstein’s birthplace, the minster has the tallest church steeple in the world, rising above the picturesque Fishermen’s Quarter. Munich blends palaces, beer halls and markets, with an excursion to Ludwig II’s Neuschwanstein Castle. Nuremberg charms with its imperial castle and Albrecht Dürer’s house, and Würzburg ends the journey with its UNESCO-listed Residence and Franconian wines. A grand tour at a comfortable pace, with a free day in Munich.
