The Black Forest and Lake Constance for groups: Freiburg, Triberg and Mainau Island

Day 1 : Journey to the Black Forest

• Morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Drive to Baden-Württemberg via Luxembourg and Alsace, with regular stops along the way.
• Arrival in Freiburg im Breisgau in the afternoon and a first walk through the old town.
• Check-in at a hotel in the Black Forest for three nights.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Freiburg im Breisgau

• Guided walking tour of Freiburg: the Minster of Our Lady, the Münsterplatz and its market, the city gates and the little Bächle channels (on request).
• Free time in the lanes of the old town.
• In the afternoon, cable car ride up the Schauinsland for a panoramic view of the Black Forest (on request).
• Group dinner in a traditional regional inn (on request).

Day 3 : Titisee, Feldberg and Triberg

• Drive to the Titisee and a walk along the lake shore.
• Boat trip around the lake (on request).
• Drive via the Feldberg, the highest point of the Black Forest.
• In the afternoon, a walk to the Triberg Waterfalls, among the highest in Germany.
• Discovery of cuckoo clock country.
• Tasting of Black Forest gateau, the famous cherry cake (on request).

Day 4 : Gengenbach, open-air museum and Lake Constance

• Walk through Gengenbach, a small town of half-timbered houses in the Kinzig valley.
• Visit to the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum in Gutach, dedicated to the traditional farmhouses of the Black Forest (on request).
• Drive to Lake Constance.
• Check-in at a hotel in the Konstanz area for four nights.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 5 : Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein

• Drive to Schaffhausen, in Switzerland.
• Discovery of the Rhine Falls from the viewing platforms.
• Boat trip to the foot of the falls (on request).
• In the afternoon, a walk in Stein am Rhein and its painted façades.
• Return to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 6 : Mainau Island and Meersburg

• Visit to Mainau Island, the flower island of Lake Constance: park, rose garden, butterfly house and baroque palace.
• Ferry crossing of the lake from Konstanz to Meersburg.
• Walk through the upper and lower towns of Meersburg, at the foot of its old castle.
• Visit to Meersburg Old Castle (on request).
• Tasting of Lake Constance wines (on request).

Day 7 : Lindau and the lake by boat

• Drive to Lindau, in Bavaria, and a walk on the island: the harbour guarded by the Bavarian Lion and the lighthouse, and the painted old town hall.
• Cruise on Lake Constance (on request).
• In the afternoon, a walk around the harbour of Konstanz, past the Imperia statue and the Council Building.
• Farewell dinner in a lakeside restaurant (on request).

Day 8 : Return

• A last morning walk along the shores of Lake Constance.
• Return journey with regular stops.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
