The most fun final-year school trip: two days of thrills at PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land, a day in Barcelona, Roman Tarragona and the beaches of the Costa Daurada.
Staying in Salou on the Costa Daurada, your pupils enjoy two days of thrills at PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land, one of the largest leisure resorts in Europe. The programme also keeps its share of culture, with a day in Barcelona and a visit to Tarragona, ancient Tarraco, whose Roman remains are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fine sandy beaches of Salou round off a stay that is both festive and well supervised. Departure on Sunday afternoon: the outward and return journeys are made overnight with two drivers taking turns (double crew) and a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving.
Programme
Day 1 : Departure from your school
- Departure on Sunday afternoon from your school.
- Overnight journey to Spain with two drivers taking turns on board (double crew).
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night.
Day 2 : Arrival in Salou
- Arrival in Salou on Monday in the late morning, check-in at the hotel for five nights (subject to room availability).
- Discovery on foot of the seafront, the Jaume I promenade and Llevant beach.
- Afternoon relaxing on the beach; a day without the coach so the drivers can rest.
- Dinner and first evening at the hotel.
Day 3 : PortAventura Park
- Full day at PortAventura Park and its six themed worlds: Mediterrània, Far West, México, China, Polynesia and SésamoAventura.
- Thrills on Shambhala, Dragon Khan or Furius Baco, in small groups with meeting points set by the teachers.
- Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4 : Roman Tarragona and the beach
- Morning in Tarragona, ancient Tarraco: the amphitheatre facing the sea, the Roman circus, the walls and the Balcony of the Mediterranean.
- Guided tour of the archaeological ensemble of Tarraco (on request).
- Return to Salou for lunch and a supervised free afternoon on the beach.
- Group evening at the hotel (quiz, karaoke or games, depending on what is available).
Day 5 : A day in Barcelona
- Drive to Barcelona (about 1 hr 15 min).
- Visit to the Sagrada Família, Gaudí's basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (on request).
- Walk along the Passeig de Gràcia, La Rambla and through the Gothic Quarter.
- Late afternoon on Barceloneta beach, then return to Salou for dinner.
Day 6 : PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land
- A second day of thrills: Ferrari Land and its Red Force accelerator coaster, one of the tallest in Europe, then back to your favourite rides at PortAventura Park.
- Dinner and last festive evening at the hotel.
Day 7 : Last day on the beach and departure
- Rooms vacated after breakfast, luggage loaded onto the coach.
- Last supervised free morning on the beach or for souvenir shopping.
- Lunch, then free time in Salou.
- Departure in the late afternoon or evening, overnight journey with two drivers taking turns (double crew).
Day 8 : Return to school
- Drive back to Belgium, with a 30-minute break every 3 hours of driving.
- Arrival at your school in the morning.

Good to know
- Valid identity card or passport, signed parental consent form for each pupil under 18 and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), to be requested from your health insurance fund a few weeks before departure.
- Our drivers drive for a maximum of 3 hours, then take a 30-minute break, day and night. On overnight journeys, two drivers take turns on board (double crew), which avoids any hotel night along the way.
- Supervision is provided by the accompanying teachers; each pupil signs a code of conduct based on the school rules (no alcohol for minors or on the coach, punctuality and compliance with instructions during free time).
- The pupil list and rooming list are entered in the school's online area (Excel import possible); rooms are allocated according to your instructions.
- Recommended period: the spring holidays (PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land are closed in winter, usually from early January to mid-March) or the autumn holidays, with booking 6 to 9 months in advance; some rides have a minimum height requirement and loose items are not allowed on the roller coasters (lockers on site).
