Rabac for senior groups: the coves of eastern Istria, Labin old town and Opatija (7 days)

Day 1: Departure and stopover in southern Germany

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Regular breaks along the way: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Coffee break on the way and lunch at your own pace at a service area.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arrival in Rabac

• Breakfast, then onward journey with regular breaks.
• Through Austria and Slovenia, arriving in Istria in the late afternoon.
• Check-in at the hotel close to the sea for 4 nights, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Labin, the hilltop town

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free morning on the beach or along the harbour promenade.
• In the afternoon, a short coach ride up to Labin (5 km).
• Guided walk in Labin’s old town: Venetian palaces, Loggia square and viewpoint over the sea (on request).
• Visit to the Labin town museum, devoted in particular to the region’s mining past (on request).
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Free day

• Free day (the driver’s rest day): beach, swimming, a nap or a walk by the water.
• Boat trip along the coast of eastern Istria (on request).
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Opatija, the grand dame of the Kvarner

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Opatija through the Učka tunnel (about an hour).
• Stroll along the Lungomare, the seaside path lined with 19th-century villas, and in the park of Villa Angiolina.
• Fish lunch in Volosko, the neighbouring little harbour (on request).
• Return to Rabac in the late afternoon, last dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Over the Alps to southern Germany

• Breakfast, then through Slovenia and Austria with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel in southern Germany, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast, then the last leg to Belgium with regular breaks.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
