Day 1: Departure and overnight stopover (central Switzerland)

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (central Switzerland), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Journey and overnight stopover (Adriatic coast, Romagna or Marche)

• Breakfast, then journey with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (Adriatic coast, Romagna or Marche), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Arrival in Puglia

• Breakfast, then drive along the Adriatic, with regular breaks.
• Seated lunch on the way (on request).
• Late-afternoon arrival and check-in at the hotel on the coast between Bari and Monopoli for 7 nights, dinner.

Day 4: Alberobello and Locorotondo

• Drive to the Itria Valley and Alberobello.
• Guided tour of the trulli district and the trullo-shaped church (on request).
• Lunch of Puglian specialities such as orecchiette (on request).
• Stop in Locorotondo, a circular white village, and tasting of local white wine (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5: Matera and its Sassi

• Drive to Matera, in Basilicata.
• Stop at the Murgia viewpoint facing the Sassi, reachable by coach.
• Guided tour of the Sassi and a cave house (on request); many steps and slopes.
• Lunch of Lucanian specialities (on request).
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 6: Free day by the sea

• Free day (driver's rest day): strolls, café terraces and rest at the hotel.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Lecce, the Florence of the Baroque

• Drive to the Salento and Lecce.
• Guided tour of the baroque centre: Basilica of Santa Croce, cathedral square and Roman amphitheatre (on request).
• Seated lunch and tasting of a pasticciotto, Lecce's pastry (on request).
• Free time, then return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 8: Ostuni and Polignano a Mare

• Drive to Ostuni, the white town perched on its hill.
• Walk through the old town up to the cathedral (sloping lanes).
• Visit to an olive mill and tasting of Puglian olive oil (on request).
• In the afternoon, Polignano a Mare and its terraces above the cliffs.
• Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 9: Castel del Monte and Trani

• Drive to Castel del Monte, Frederick II's octagonal castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Visit of the castle (on request).
• Fish lunch in Trani (on request).
• Stroll around Trani harbour and in front of its Romanesque cathedral by the sea.
• Return to the hotel and farewell dinner.

Day 10: Leaving Puglia, then journey to the stopover (Adriatic coast, Romagna or Marche)

• Breakfast, then departure northwards along the Adriatic.
• Seated lunch on the way (on request).
• Return journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (Adriatic coast, Romagna or Marche), dinner and overnight stay.
