The Marche for senior groups: Loreto, the Conero Riviera, Ascoli Piceno and the Frasassi Caves (10 days)

Day 1: Departure and overnight stopover (central Switzerland)

• Morning departure from the place of your choice.
• Journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (central Switzerland), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Journey and overnight stopover (Emilia-Romagna)

• Breakfast, then journey with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (Emilia-Romagna), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Arrival in Loreto

• Breakfast, then drive along the Adriatic, with regular breaks.
• Late-morning arrival in Loreto and check-in at the hotel for 5 nights.
• Lunch at the hotel or in a restaurant (on request).
• Guided tour of the basilica and the Holy House (on request).
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: The Conero Riviera

• Short drive to Numana and Sirolo, villages perched above the sea.
• Stroll through the centre of Sirolo and its viewpoint over the coast.
• Boat trip along the cliffs of Monte Conero (on request).
• Lunch of fish and Conero mussels (on request).
• Return to Loreto and dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Ascoli Piceno

• Drive to the south of the Marche and Ascoli Piceno, a city of travertine.
• Guided tour of the centre: Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Arringo and the cathedral (on request).
• Lunch with stuffed olives all'ascolana (on request).
• Break in a historic café on Piazza del Popolo, then return to Loreto and dinner.

Day 6: Free day in Loreto

• Free day (driver's rest day): strolls, café terraces and rest at the hotel.
• Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Frasassi Caves and Fabriano

• Drive inland to the Frasassi gorge.
• Guided tour of the Frasassi Caves, about 1 hour 15 minutes on a fitted path with steps (on request).
• Seated lunch (on request).
• In Fabriano, visit of the Paper and Watermark Museum, with a hand papermaking demonstration (on request).
• Return to Loreto and dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Recanati, then journey to the stopover (Emilia-Romagna)

• Breakfast, then a short drive to Recanati, birthplace of the poet Giacomo Leopardi.
• Visit of Casa Leopardi and its library (on request).
• Return journey with regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (Emilia-Romagna), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Journey and overnight stopover (central Switzerland)

• Breakfast, then journey with regular breaks.
• Late-afternoon arrival at the stopover hotel (central Switzerland), dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Return to Belgium

• Breakfast, then return journey with regular breaks.
• Evening return to your home area.
