Bay of Naples: Sorrento, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and Capri (11 days)

Day 1: Journey to northern Italy

• Early morning departure from the pick-up point of your choice, with two drivers on board.
• Route through Luxembourg, Alsace, Switzerland and the Gotthard tunnel.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Overnight stop in northern Italy, in the Milan area.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Journey to Lazio

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Route along the Autostrada del Sole, through Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Overnight stop in Lazio, in the Rome area.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Monte Cassino and Sorrento

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to the Abbey of Monte Cassino and visit (on request).
• Route to the Sorrento peninsula.
• Check-in at the hotel for 6 nights.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Pompeii

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Pompeii (about 30 minutes).
• Guided tour of the archaeological site of Pompeii (on request).
• Lunch near the site (on request).
• Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: The Amalfi Coast by boat

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Boat trip along the Amalfi Coast (on request).
• Stop in Positano and its cascading houses.
• Lunch in Amalfi (on request), then visit to the Cathedral of St Andrew.
• Return by boat to Sorrento in the late afternoon.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Free day in Sorrento

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Free day (drivers' rest day): stroll in the centre of Sorrento, its lanes and its limoncello shops.
• Tasting of limoncello and local produce from the peninsula (on request).
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: The island of Capri

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Boat crossing to Capri (on request).
• Funicular ride from Marina Grande up to Capri town (on request).
• Walk to the Gardens of Augustus and their view of the Faraglioni.
• Lunch in Capri (on request), then free time on the Piazzetta.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Naples

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Naples (about 1 hour).
• Guided tour of the historic centre and Spaccanapoli (on request).
• Visit to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (on request).
• Pizza lunch in a Neapolitan pizzeria (on request).
• Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Journey to Tuscany

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Route north along the Autostrada del Sole.
• Regular breaks: our drivers drive for 3 hours at most, then take a 30-minute break.
• Overnight stop in Tuscany, in the Florence area.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Journey to Basel

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Route via Milan and the Gotthard tunnel, with two drivers on board.
